Anniversary policy
The Leaven only prints 50, 60, 65 and 70th anniversary notices. Announcements
are due by 5 p.m. eight days (Thursday) before the desired publication date.
Announcements must be typed or neatly printed. They are for parishioners of
Catholic parishes in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas, or those who had
been parishioners in the archdiocese for a significant period of time.
Information to include:
• The couple’s names
• Their parish
• The date they were married
• Church and city they were married in
• What they are doing to celebrate
• Date of the celebration
• Names of children (if desired)
• Number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren
• Photo of the couple (if submitting photos by e-mail, include in a jpg format of
at least 200 DPI. Do not embed photo in a Microsoft Word file
